    The HR should ask you for the authorization before joining or when you do the HR paperwork. They might be assuming you're a US Citizen.

    Its not advisable. The DOS has designated a few consulates in Mexico and Canada for third country nationals. Its best to stick to those recommendations, or go to your home country. Visa stamping is a stressful experience to bgin with, why take chances ?
    Have anybody stamped their H1 visa in UAE?
    I heard a lot of people stamping in Canada and Mexico - but not any other countries.

    Any issues going to other countries?

    AFAIK they dont know unless USCIS issues an RFE for tax returns. What was her status before she filed her 485?
    Also why are you concerned whether they know or not?

    Before that she was on H-4, I am still on H-1B

    My wife had the same situation - was going to be out of town on the scheduled day. She went to the Dallas office on a Wednesday or Thursday and explained the situation to them. They said they were busy that day and said she had upto 89 (?) days to do it. They said she could walk in on any Saturday within that time frame. They also said that there was no need to reschedule. Sure enough, she went in on a Saturday 2 or 3 weeks after the scheduled date and they took her fingerprints.

    As far as I know, there is no grace period. USCIS may choose to ignore a reasonable gap or may approve without I-94. Dont worry about that for now. Talk to friends/family and others and just find someone to sponsor. But if you are not able to find someone to sponsor even after few weeks, you will have to leave US. Sorry mate and Best of Luck.. just be quick and you will fine

    i'm no pro, but i think the first is much better then the second. the framing of the image is a bit off, but to me that's what makes the image.

    There's no right or wrong really, just some de facto rules or guidelines - sometimes an image can be more interesting if those rules are broken. I guess it comes down to personal taste.

    It is best to initiate the GC process. Agreed current times are unfavorable ( LC is taking time etc etc ). But if your LC and I-140 are approved you can switch jobs and port PD assuming you change companies with the same job description.

    There were those who got their I-140 cleared under EB2 and were practically jumping with joy at the door closing behind them. Some were even taking credit for the move :)
    That would be devastating! I dont see any positives out of that move.

    Many of the Windows Live apps (Writer, Messenger, etc.), Windows Server Add-Ins/Components, Expression, and a handful that I can't remember use .NET either exclusively or just for the UI.
